Cooler motors when you push timing and boost
As racers push motor performance with increased timing, boost and turbo, motor temperature becomes a hard limit. The DAS Speed RotoFan (part DAS-0009) is an ultra-compact cooling solution for 1/28 scale where space is tight and conventional powered fans are often impractical.
Mounted directly on the motor shaft, the RotoFan generates meaningful airflow without a separate powered fan. In DAS Speed comparative testing it showed about a 10% improvement in cooling performance — helping the motor run cooler under demanding conditions.
Better temperature management can give a little more freedom when searching for performance — for example an extra tooth of gearing or a small bump in boost/turbo — depending on motor, ESC, track and overall setup. It is not about adding power directly; it is about managing the heat that limits how much performance you can safely extract.
